macOS
Swiss weather, sitting on your desktop.
Checking the weather usually means opening something. Meteonaut puts the forecast for any Swiss town on the desktop itself — current conditions, the hours ahead, six days out, and the official warnings, without a window to open or a tab to find.
Download on the Mac App StoreWhat it does
Every town in Switzerland
Search by name or postal code and pick any Swiss locality — each widget can show a different one.
Three sizes
Small for the current conditions, medium for the hours or days ahead, large for a full day of detail.
The real numbers
Hourly temperature, wind and gusts, rain probability, precipitation down to ten-minute detail, sunshine duration, humidity, pressure and dew point.
Apparent temperature
What the air actually feels like once wind and humidity are taken into account, not just the reading.
Official warnings
MeteoSwiss warnings for storms, heat, frost, forest fire and the rest, shown on the widget as they are issued.
Follows where you are
Optionally resolves your current town. The fix is matched against a locality list bundled in the app — your coordinates never leave your Mac.
Keeps its last answer
The forecast is cached, so the widget keeps showing the most recent reading when the network is gone.
