Data Collection

Shortcuts IDE does not collect any data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

Network Use

Shortcuts IDE makes a network request in exactly one situation: when you paste an iCloud share link to import a shortcut, it fetches that shortcut from Apple's iCloud servers. That is the only time anything goes over the network, and it happens only because you asked for it. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing about you or your shortcuts is ever sent anywhere else. Running and exporting shortcuts happen entirely on your Mac through Apple's own Shortcuts tools.

Data Storage

The following is stored locally on your Mac and never leaves it:

File Access

The app can only read and write files you specifically select through the standard macOS open and save panels. It has no general access to your disk, and it does not scan, index, or upload your shortcuts.

Data Deletion

Deleting a project file removes it. Moving the app to the Trash removes its automatic backup and preferences along with it.

Your shortcuts are often personal — they touch your messages, your location, your home. Shortcuts IDE is built so that none of it can reach us, because none of it can leave your Mac.
